Hi!

I am an award-winning author-illustrator from Brazil.

I am known for creating the Yeti series and have illustrated over sixty books for young readers worldwide. My most recent work as an author-illustrator is A Home for Leo (Two Lions). My first book, The Thing About Yetis, was released in 2014 and received positive reviews from the New York Times, Kirkus, and Booklist. The follow-up, Bedtime for Yeti, was released in December 2016.

I used to live in NYC, but now I'm back in my hometown of Rio with my cat and dog. We live among plants, picture books, and surfboards. I often visit NYC for creative inspiration.
